Who We Are
We cannot tell you our story, without telling you about our beautiful country, Papua New Guinea (PNG). Located in the south-western part of the Pacific and north of Australia, Papua New Guinea is home to just shy of 9 million united people. We are one of the most linguistically, ethnically, and culturally diverse countries in the world, with over 851 known languages across our 22 provinces.
Our colorful display of cultures and traditional attires is the window into a rich history and a way of life for more than 20,000 years. Whether you’re in the cold parts of our highlands region, or enjoying the kulau (coconut) on one of our pristine white-sandy beaches, there is an adventure for everyone in Papua New Guinea.
OUR HUMBLE BEGINNINGS
Our journey began in a small village in Rabaul, East New Britain Province as passion. The passion with food and cooking was eventually turned into a SME business in 2018 and through this passion, ideas for other related activities were born – this included fabrication of cooking Equipment (Scrapers, Ovens, Grills, Smokers), Logistic & Support Services, etc.
Our passion also includes supporting other SMEs, youth groups and established associations through various means such as collaboration, sponsorship, internship, etc. As can be seen in our company profile, our proposed team of highly skilled people have the right blend of skills and expertise to deliver the value and timing that has helped us to grow, and collaboration is an important part of our growth.

Bringing to you in experience 3 years with Oil Search Ltd., 6 years with Newcrest Mining Ltd., 3 years at Lihir Business Services – SME + SIC, and 2 years at Coffee Exports – Agro Business / Commodities.
Rosella Gabe De La Cruz
Bringing to you in experience 3 years with Oil Search Foundation., 9 years with PwC – Consultant and Business Advisory, and 10 years at Bishop Brother Engineering (Industrial Sales/Equipment Hire, etc.).
OUR CAPABILITIES
Our team comprises of a mixture of locally grown talent including qualified chefs who have relevant experience in the food industry. Although young, we have achieved success through innovative ideas, leveraging off skills and talent collaboration with other like minded organizations and individuals in the food industry.
We are 100% PNG owned and operated.
For a small business, the directors of Abus Na Kumu are qualified accountants with vast experience in business.
